Sunitha Thrippanikkara radiates positivity and energy, She never let her disability come in her way to success.She is one of the most eminent mouth painting artist in the country, and also shines in the Guinness Book of World Records 2021.Sunitha born in 1983 in Kannur is a muscular dystrophy sufferer. From childhood, Sunitha loved to paint,and
painted almost regularly with her hands until she gradually started to lose strength in them.She was in primary class when she started to use a wheelchair. During this time with the encouragement from her brother Ganesh Kumar, she started to paint with her mouth,and it worked. Since that day Sunitha has been unstoppable.
Sunitha is a member of the MFPA from 2004 and has made beautiful paintings of Gods and Goddesses of India.She has created over 3, 000 paintings.She has also conducted exhibitions nationally as well as internationally. In 2018 a solo exhibition was held at Lalitha kala Academy Gallery Trivandrum. She received the outstanding Creative Adult Person with Disabilities (2017) award from Ramnath Govind, the President of India. In 2016, the Health department of Kerala honoured Sunitha as the' Sreshta Vanitha'. In 2012 a group of exhibitions and demos were held at the International Convention Center, Singapore organized by Amfpa International. Apart from painting, Sunitha who is a Master of Arts in Malayalam literature, often writes poetry and short stories, and she is on her way to exploring more creative skills.
