His name, which survived through painting, shines in the Guinness Book of World Records today. Akhil was born to Nelliyani Nelsan and Mary at Ambalavayal He is 25 years old. At the age of 15, he contracted a rare disease called Muscular Dystrophy. He drew pictures in the dim light inside the darkened hut. Black and white pictures can be more than just drawing on white paper now Akhil will be able to use color pencils and watercolors. Akhil's trademarks are photographs. Pictures of celebrities seem to come alive. Akhil, who used to find it difficult to walk without any assistance, is now known as a painter. Drawing pictures for the needy with the help of YouTube, online painters, the young man is now the 'Pearl' of Vikas Colony after winning the Guinness World Record.
Mobility in Dystrophy (MIND) Trust was formed in 2017, by us patients suffering from Muscular Dystrophy (MD) & Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). In 2016, we started off as a small Whatsapp group of patients reaching out to each other.
