The WE project, introduced by MIND Trust, aims to empower and support women within the MIND Trust community by transforming them from dependents into contributors. It focuses on addressing their mental, physical, and social needs to provide holistic well-being. Another important aspect of the WE Project is the implementation of the Dheera women cell, which offers psychological support and counselling to women with Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. This program provides a safe space for women with disabilities to seek help and guidance. The Jwala program, part of Project WE, is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to promoting the legal rights of women with disabilities and offering them support in a wide range of situations. Its primary objective is to raise awareness about the specific challenges and issues faced by these women within society. Jwala program recognizes the importance of addressing the social issues that women with disabilities encounter on a daily basis. It seeks to challenge stereotypes, stigmas, and discriminatory practices prevalent in society. the program aims to change perceptions and create an inclusive environment that respects and values the rights of all individuals, regardless of disability. Furthermore, WE Supports and encourages talented women in various activities such as dance, singing, and other artistic pursuits. It provides a platform for them to showcase their skills and express themselves. As part of the WE project, various initiatives have been undertaken, including the creation of a short film named "WE," dance videos, and a one-day tour. These initiatives aim to celebrate the achievements of women and inspire others to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. WE provide a dedicated space for women with disabilities to communicate and address the challenges they face. This space aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where women can freely express their concerns, share their experiences, and seek assistance. This communication platform plays a crucial role in fostering empowerment, solidarity, and advocacy for the rights and well-being of women with disabilities. Through these initiatives, MIND Trust seeks to promote the holistic development of women by addressing their mental, physical, and social well-being. The underlying message is to empower women by highlighting that with determination and hard work, even the seemingly impossible becomes possible.
