Home is an emotional feeling for every individual, a dream place of togetherness, happiness, and a safe and secure haven for everyone. However, when we look around, we see that many people in our society are homeless. Let's imagine a person who doesn't have a home and is also dealing with Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Not having their own home poses significant difficulties for them. A place to live is a basic need of every person, but due to physical limitations, a safe and secure home remains an elusive dream for many members of the MIND community. Consequently, one of MIND's primary missions is to work towards a reality where each and every member has a wonderful and safe place to call home. To realize this vision, the MIND family launched the dream project called 'Saphalyam.' The tagline "A space of happiness" showcase the importance of the project. Wheelchair-friendly homes are crucial for accommodating their needs, along with wheelchair-friendly bathrooms and other necessary facilities. Having their own home not only provides them with a space to live but also ensures their security and enhances their mental well-being. The Saphalyam project by MIND Trust plays a vital role in achieving these objectives. The project aims to construct and reconstruct houses for the homeless in the MIND community. By constructing these homes, we aim to ensure wheelchair accessibility, wheelchair-friendly toilets, and ramps. MIND Trust built a house for its beneficiaries. Three beneficiaries of the trust received funds for house construction and five for construction of ramps Through this project, we strive to fulfill the dreams of individuals who don't have a home. To make these projects successful, we seek support from organizations and well-wishers in our society.
Mobility in Dystrophy (MIND) Trust was formed in 2017, by us patients suffering from Muscular Dystrophy (MD) & Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). In 2016, we started off as a small Whatsapp group of patients reaching out to each other.
With enthusiastic employees and volunteers, we are ready to support you no matter any time.
